Meet kidvitals: The High-Voltage New Voice in Alt-Rap

Blacknalt Artist Spotlight 8th Edition: Kidvitals

Introduction
In a world where blending in is the norm, a bold few dare to stand out, disrupt expectations, and carve their own paths. Welcome to Blacknalt’s ARTIST SPOTLIGHT—a platform dedicated to amplifying the voices of rising BIPOC musicians who are reshaping the alternative music landscape.
Music has never been one-size-fits-all, and neither are the artists we highlight. While we embrace the alternative spirit, our spotlight isn’t confined to a single genre. From the electrifying riffs of rock to the hypnotic beats of K-pop, the soul-stirring melodies of R&B, the raw emotion of indie, and everything in between, we celebrate the innovators, the rule-breakers, and the storytellers who challenge the status quo.
This series is more than just a showcase—it’s a movement. It’s about recognizing the cultural depth, artistry, and resilience of BIPOC musicians who are pushing sonic boundaries and bringing fresh perspectives to the music industry. Each feature dives deep into their creative journeys, struggles, triumphs, and the influences that shape their sound.
So, whether you’re looking for your next favorite artist or simply love discovering music that defies expectations, Blacknalt’s ARTIST SPOTLIGHT is your front-row seat to the future of sound. Stay tuned, because these artists aren’t just making music—they’re making history.

This is KidVitals
Tell us a little about yourself. Where are you from, and what do you create?
I am from Los Angeles and I make music.
What first inspired you to start making music?
I’ve always loved music, but when a creator of it I really enjoyed passed away I was cast into an inspiration 2 do so myself.
How would you describe your sound in three words?
Nostalgic, Resonating, & Real
What’s a dream collaboration for you?
XXXTentacion
It sounded cool lol. I eventually gave it the meaning of Kid relating to how I’ve always been treated like a child and Vitals as in your vital signs. I used to have the handle flatline kid on instagram. Essentially together, it means it’s vital 2 be a Kid, or at least remember that you are one, the same kid that survived.
Who are your biggest musical influences, and how have they shaped your style?
I literally get inspired by everyone and everything because life is art and we’re the artists. My top influence music artist wise though is most definitely XXXTentacion. They showed me just how versatile a music artist could be and that it was okay as well as vocal manipulation.
Was there a specific moment when you knew you wanted to pursue music seriously?
As soon as I made my first song tbh.
What’s something you wish more people understood about being an up-and-coming artist?
BELIEVE. BELIEVE. BELIEVE.

What message or impact do you hope to leave with your music?
Another smile. Another vibe. Another moment :).
What’s next for you? Any upcoming projects or releases?
Whatever God had in store.
Conclusion
With thumping beats, electric soundscapes, and an energy that feels like it was built for the mosh pit and the main stage, kidvitals is quickly positioning himself as a force in the new wave of alt-rap and rage music. There’s a raw urgency in his sound—a mix of distorted 808s, glitchy synths, and hypnotic flows—that grabs you by the collar and refuses to let go. Every track pulses with adrenaline, but underneath the noise, there’s a real sense of control. kidvitals isn’t just making chaos—he’s crafting it.
It wouldn’t be a stretch to say that kidvitals might be the next Ken Carson. The comparison makes sense: both artists thrive on high-octane, futuristic production and cultivate cult-like followings through sound, style, and pure attitude. But what sets kidvitals apart is his versatility. While he clearly shares DNA with the rage scene, his music hints at a broader palette—touches of experimental pop, electronic textures, even moments of vulnerability that sneak through the static. There’s potential for evolution here, and that’s what makes him dangerous—in the best way.
Beyond the music, his visual aesthetic, social presence, and ear for world-building feel fully realized. Whether it’s a glitchy music video, a merch drop, or a cryptic post on IG, kidvitals is already creating a mythos around himself. He’s not just releasing songs—he’s curating an experience.
In a digital landscape hungry for the next breakout voice in the alt-rap underground, kidvitals isn’t just knocking—he’s kicking the door wide open. Keep your eyes on him. He’s not just following the wave—he might be the one to reshape it.
