Introduction
Welcome to the Blacknalt Creator Spotlight Series — a dedicated space where brilliance, imagination, and individuality meet unapologetically.
At Blacknalt, we recognize that mainstream narratives have too often overlooked the boundary-pushers, the dreamers, and the disruptors of color in alternative spaces. We’re here to change that.
The Creator Spotlight Series is our way of honoring the artists, musicians, writers, designers, and visionaries who dare to step outside the expected — and redefine what culture looks like. Every feature is a deep dive into a creator’s world: their inspirations, their creative journeys, the challenges they’ve faced, and the triumphs they’ve carved out on their own terms.
Through candid interviews, intimate storytelling, and powerful visuals, we aim to give these creators the platform they deserve — not just to showcase their work, but to explore the richness of their experiences, their heritage, and their revolutionary spirit.
In a world that often demands conformity, these creators choose individuality. In spaces that can feel isolating, they build new communities. They carry history, pain, passion, and hope into every piece they create — and they light the way forward for generations to come.
The Blacknalt Creator Spotlight is more than just a series. It’s a celebration of resilience, innovation, and Black and brown excellence in every form. It’s a reminder that alternative is not a deviation from the culture — it is the culture.
This is where the underground rises. This is where stories are reclaimed. This is where legends are born.
Welcome to the movement. Welcome to the future. Welcome to the Blacknalt Creator Spotlight.

How would you describe your style or artistic approach?
My artistic approach is deeply rooted in storytelling, emotional depth, afro futurism and genre-fluidity. I blend Indie Rock, Folk, Americana, and R&B to create a sound that feels both intimate and expansive, allowing me to explore themes of love, identity, resilience, and transformation. Vulnerability is at the core of my work—whether through my soulful voice, my lyrics, or the immersive visual and literary experiences I craft. Beyond music, I see art as a way to build community and amplify underrepresented voices. My work, including Black Lesbian Bedtime Stories and my music videos, integrates mixed-media storytelling to create spaces where Black queer narratives are centered and celebrated. Collaboration is essential to my process, and I thrive on working with other artists to weave together shared experiences and diverse perspectives. Ultimately, my approach is about creating art that resonates deeply, invites connection, and challenges the boundaries of genre and form—all while remaining unapologetically authentic.
What themes or messages do you aim to express through your work?
Through my work, I aim to express themes of healing, resilience, identity, love, and transformation—especially through a Black queer lens. I explore the complexities of relationships, self-discovery, and generational healing, often weaving personal and collective experiences into my storytelling. Radical vulnerability is central to my art, whether in my music, writing, or visual work, as I strive to create spaces where people—especially Black lesbians and other marginalized communities—feel seen, valued, and understood. At its core, my art is an invitation—to feel deeply, to connect, to question, to dream, and to build something beautiful together.

How does your identity or background influence your work?
My identity as a Black, queer, indie artist deeply influences my work, shaping both the themes I explore and the way I create. Coming from a background that exists at multiple intersections—race, queerness, indie artistry, and multidisciplinary creativity—I naturally gravitate toward storytelling that is deeply personal yet universally resonant.
Being Black and queer means navigating a world that often tries to erase or misunderstand experiences like mine, so my art becomes an act of both resistance and reclamation. I center Black lesbian joy, love, and resilience in everything I create, from my music to my writing to my visual art, because I know how rare and necessary it is to see ourselves reflected fully and beautifully.
My global upbringing and the DIY nature of being an indie artist also push me to be resourceful, experimental, and collaborative. I embrace mixed media, alternative storytelling methods, and genre fluidity because my own experiences have never fit neatly into one box. Instead of following industry norms, I prioritize authenticity, community, and artistic freedom, ensuring my work speaks to those who, like me, exist outside the mainstream but still deserve to take up space.
At its core, my identity fuels everything I do, driving me to create art that is both deeply personal and powerfully connective, honoring the past while imagining a more liberated future.
What are you currently working on, and what can we expect from you next?
Right now, I’m working on the most ambitious project of my career to date- my upcoming album, POSTCARD MEMORIES, dropping June 21, 2025. This is my first full length project and beyond that it’s a full multimedia experience that blends music, visual art, immersive storytelling, and live performance in a way that I’ve never done before.
At its core, POSTCARD MEMORIES is about healing, transformation, transience, and the journey of finding yourself after everything falls apart. The music is genre-fluid, pulling from Indie Rock, Folk, Americana, and R&B, creating a sonic landscape that feels both intimate and cinematic. The visuals will be just as powerful—I’m curating a series of music videos, art installations, and performances that bring the album’s world to life.
This project is so big that I’ve applied for multiple grants to fund elements like immersive live events, video production, and mixed-media storytelling. I’m collaborating with incredible artists across different disciplines to push the boundaries of what an album release can be.
Is there anything else you’d like us to know or highlight about you?
A lot of people assume I just started making music or performing, but my journey in performance art actually goes way back to my childhood—before I even hit double digits. I’ve always been drawn to the power of storytelling and artistic expression, using music, visuals, and performance as a means of understanding myself and the world around me. What I haven’t had is the same opportunities or resources as many of the artists I collaborate with. Despite the unprecedented challenges I’ve faced—including navigating homelessness, housing in security, personal trauma, and lack of support—I’ve built my artistry from the ground up, driven by passion, resilience, and a deep belief in the power of my craft.
In spite of having fewer resources and less help, I’ve worked tirelessly to get to where I am, and I’m now creating work on par with the most exciting artists in the industry. My work is raw, real, and deeply informed by everything I’ve overcome. I want people to know that this journey—my art—isn’t just about where I’ve been, but where I’m going, and it’s a testament to the strength, vision, and talent I’ve cultivated against all odds. Also I teach Pilates lol

Conclusion
But what truly sets her apart is the sauce—that intangible, magnetic presence that can’t be manufactured. Window has it. She carries it in the way her voice floats effortlessly between softness and strength, in the way her visuals echo her sound without ever overshadowing it, and in her undeniable ability to connect. She’s not chasing trends; she’s creating a sound and aesthetic that feels entirely her own—fluid, nostalgic, and just a little otherworldly.
Beyond the music, Window is building something bigger—a full experience, a mood, a universe. She understands the power of subtlety, the beauty in restraint, and the impact of being fully, authentically yourself. Every detail, from production to styling to storytelling, reflects a deep commitment to her craft and her vision.
In a sea of emerging talent, Window is a standout. Not just because of her voice, but because of her voice in the larger sense—her perspective, her presence, her potential. She’s not just next—she’s now, and the world is starting to catch on. Window is a rising force, a name you’ll hear more and more, and an artist you’ll want to say you knew before everyone else did.
